Our Story

Three Houses. One Realm of Ritual, Rebellion, and Rare Beauty.

Vanda is not a brand.
It’s a place between places. A home for the wild, the artful, the forgotten, and the found.

Created by two artists—Ewa, a European-born painter and scent-maker, and Milan, an African-Australian creative with Polish, German, and Jewish roots—Vanda began where most things do: in longing.

Longing for beauty that lasts.
For objects that mean something.
For rituals that root you back to your body.

We built Vanda on instinct and contradiction.
Polish flowers and Australian salt air.
The quiet tenderness of a mother’s scarf and the raw hunger of pheromones on skin.
A surfboard and a sculpture studio.
Safety and seduction.
Science and chaos.

Vanda lives where these worlds collide.

The Three Houses of Vanda

 L’apothicaire

Skin rituals, pheromone oils, and rare scents.
Small-batch, intimate, and science-backed—made for those who wear energy, not labels.

 Fallen Flowers

Altered, handmade, and one-of-one clothing.
Built from found fabrics, forgotten textures, and rebellion in the seams.
For bodies who don’t want to blend in.

Vanda Vel Atelier

Art, sculpture, and antique finds.
Strange objects, forgotten treasures, and handmade pieces to fill your world with meaning.

Meet the Founders

Ewa: Artist, scent-maker, and collector of rare beauty.
European-born Australian, with a background in fine art and a lifelong fascination with scent and objects that tell a story.

Milan: Co-creator, visual designer, quiet fire.
An African-Australian creative with mixed European roots. A wild soul shaped by coastlines and cities, with a surfboard under one arm and a rare book in the other.

Together, we build Vanda not for the masses, but for the curious few. For those who find beauty where others overlook it.

Our Philosophy

We Believe In:

• Small batches, not mass production
• Beauty with meaning
• Scent as ritual, not gimmick
• Clothing as armour and art
• Objects that feel like they’ve lived a hundred lives

Our work is for the bold, the weird, the sensual.
For the Aquariuses of this world. The queers in silk shirts and the old souls in steel-toed boots.
For those who kiss at dawn in strangers' apartments and disappear before breakfast.

The Ritual

Everything we create is an invitation:
—to soften into yourself.
—to sharpen your senses.
—to wear your memories on your skin.

Our scents blend science-backed pheromones with instinctual notes that speak to skin, not crowds.
Our clothing wraps you in forgotten stories.
Our objects invite you to touch, keep, and pass them on.

Nothing here is made in haste.
Nothing here is ordinary.

Why “Vanda”?

A wild orchid.
A fierce ancient tribe.
A sweet Polish girl’s name.

Vanda is a contradiction: delicate and dangerous.
Like us. Like you.

The Sound of Vanda?

It smells like velvet curtains backstage before the show begins.
Like Japanese jazz echoing through an abandoned library.
Like a cross between Dancer in the Dark and Amélie, if they ran away together at midnight.

Welcome to the House of Vanda.

Not everyone will find us.
But if you’re here, maybe you were meant to.
